We ask for a donation for attendance at field and certain other events and suggest R100 for adults and R20 for children 11 years and younger, with the option of donating R300 PER FAMILY for an annual subscription in July each year.

Some venues will also require an entrance fee which must be paid by each individual. 

For field trips we will supply vials, magnifiers, plastic pill bottles and some other basic collecting equipment, but please bring your own if you have as well as any reference books, a picnic lunch, adequate water, a hat and good walking shoes.

Cape Town Spider Walk

Come join us for our Cape Town Spider Walk at the Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area, where we will look for spiders, learn new things, and meet new people, including Wessel Pretorius, the event organiser.
Bring a hat, water, snacks, and sunscreen, and of course friends and family. Also bring a field guide if you have one. The spiders will be released after they have been recorded and photographed, so bring your camera if you want to photograph them.
A limited number of nets and vials will be available. If you have your own, bring them.
Admission is R50 for adults, and R10 for children under 12, which should be paid in cash on the day of the event.
Space is limited to 20 people, so bookings are essential.
