We ask for a donation for attendance at field and certain other events and suggest R100 for adults and R20 for children 11 years and younger, with the option of donating R300 PER FAMILY for an annual subscription in July each year.
Some venues will also require an entrance fee which must be paid by each individual.
For field trips we will supply vials, magnifiers, plastic pill bottles and some other basic collecting equipment, but please bring your own if you have as well as any reference books, a picnic lunch, adequate water, a hat and good walking shoes.

Rietfontein Ridge Nature Reserve

Spider Walk in Rietfontein Ridge Nature Reserve, 138 Holkam Road, Paulshof, Sandton 26º01’47.6”S 28º02’21.7”E / -26.029877, 28.039357. The reserve belongs to Joburg City Parks and Zoo and is about 24km north of the city centre. Meet in the parking space inside the gate at 8 a.m. It could be really hot so please bring enough water, a sunhat and don’t forget a picnic lunch. R50 per adult, R10 per child to the Spider Club but no entrance fee.

And remember that Norman Larsen is at the Cape Union Mart Adventure Centre, Canal walk in Cape Town every Saturday 11h00–12h00 to demonstrate and talk about SPIDERS!
