We ask for a donation for attendance at field and certain other events and suggest R100 for adults and R20 for children 11 years and younger, with the option of donating R300 PER FAMILY for an annual subscription in July each year.

Some venues will also require an entrance fee which must be paid by each individual. 

For field trips we will supply vials, magnifiers, plastic pill bottles and some other basic collecting equipment, but please bring your own if you have as well as any reference books, a picnic lunch, adequate water, a hat and good walking shoes.

Northern Cape Spider Walk

An epic day for the entire family. Come down with family and friends to the beautiful Red Sands Country Lodge for a fun-filled day of searching for spiders.
This location has some great opportunities for some really interesting spiders to be found. We will search high and low for spiders, learn about the different finds and take some photos too! So bring your cameras if you wish to do so.
Please make sure to bring a hat, sun screen, some snacks and water to get you through the day. There is also a restaurant at the premises if you wish to eat there.
Cost of the event is R50 for an adult and R10 for kids under 12. Cash payable on the day. There is also an additional R20 hiking fee.
