What’s that spider?

Have you tried to find it yourself in our library?

Please bear in mind that we have several thousand species to choose from, some of the larger, better known and more common species are fairly easy to identify, at least to genus level but the vast majority can only be accurately identified from preserved specimens viewed under a microscope. The small photos that can be put onto Facebook make it additionally difficult.

That said if you can include the eye patterns of spider that you photograph, say where geographically they were found and give an idea of the body length of the spider then it will probably make it easier.
