We ask for a donation for attendance at field and certain other events and suggest R100 for adults and R20 for children 11 years and younger, with the option of donating R300 PER FAMILY for an annual subscription in July each year.
Some venues will also require an entrance fee which must be paid by each individual.
For field trips we will supply vials, magnifiers, plastic pill bottles and some other basic collecting equipment, but please bring your own if you have as well as any reference books, a picnic lunch, adequate water, a hat and good walking shoes.

A walk through Rietfontein Ridge Nature Reserve looking for spiders and other little creatures that will be around this time of year. Bring something to drink and something to snack.
The event will consist of various activities related to VWS and in general, the conservation of the environment. Spiders, snakes, helicopters, fire fighting etc.
Let's take a stroll through Moreletakloof Nature Reserve and see what interesting spiders we find, along with many other interesting things too!
Albert’s Farm again 6th Road West, opposite 8th street, Greymont We will collect for a couple of hours then return to Marianne Forsyth’s home at 8 Obrien avenue, Waterfall Estate to use microscopes and identify what we find. Bring a picnic lunch.
Snacks and cool drinks will be available from 6 pm. If you want something stronger, there’s a cash bar. Please bring a torch for each person, headlamp torches work best. If you have a UV torch, bring that as well to search for scorpions.
Identification workshop at The Leroy Garage, bring and braai at 9:00 a.m. until whenever.
