We ask for a donation for attendance at field and certain other events and suggest R100 for adults and R20 for children 11 years and younger, with the option of donating R300 PER FAMILY for an annual subscription in July each year.
Some venues will also require an entrance fee which must be paid by each individual.
For field trips we will supply vials, magnifiers, plastic pill bottles and some other basic collecting equipment, but please bring your own if you have as well as any reference books, a picnic lunch, adequate water, a hat and good walking shoes.

Spider Exploration Weekend – Khoisan Karoo Conservancy

Join Rudi Steenkamp and Ruan Booysen for a weekend gateway on Khoisan Karoo Conservancy in the Karoo outside Hanover. Come see the amazing diversity of spiders that the Karoo has to offer and learn where and how to look for spiders. There will be a spider presentation as well as daily spider tours. The package includes 2 nights’ accommodation, 2 meals per day, a sunset drive to the hippo pool and a night drive.

And remember that Norman Larsen is at the Cape Union Mart Adventure Centre, Canal walk in Cape Town every Saturday 11h00–12h00 to demonstrate and talk about SPIDERS!
