We ask for a donation for attendance at field and certain other events and suggest R100 for adults and R20 for children 11 years and younger, with the option of donating R300 PER FAMILY for an annual subscription in July each year.

Some venues will also require an entrance fee which must be paid by each individual. 

For field trips we will supply vials, magnifiers, plastic pill bottles and some other basic collecting equipment, but please bring your own if you have as well as any reference books, a picnic lunch, adequate water, a hat and good walking shoes.

North West Spider Walk – Hekpoort

It’s the year of the Clubs 50th Celebrations! 🤩
Let’s get out into nature and find some epic spiders to discover and learn about! This walk will be on a property just outside of Hekpoort. This amazing piece of land has a whole lot of untouched bushveld to explore with heaps of critters to find.
Spider walks are an awesome outdoor activity for the whole family, or just yourself, to increase your knowledge, or even get over your fears of these magnificent and super interesting creatures!
This is a day out in the sun, so please be sure to bring hats, sunscreen and enough water to get you through. And if you feel it be necessary, also some snacks.
