We ask for a donation for attendance at field and certain other events and suggest R100 for adults and R20 for children 11 years and younger, with the option of donating R300 PER FAMILY for an annual subscription in July each year.
Some venues will also require an entrance fee which must be paid by each individual.
For field trips we will supply vials, magnifiers, plastic pill bottles and some other basic collecting equipment, but please bring your own if you have as well as any reference books, a picnic lunch, adequate water, a hat and good walking shoes.

International Rangers’ Day
29 July 2017
R75Hosted by the SANParks Honorary Rangers (SHR), Pretoria Region and celebrated on 29 July 2017. The venue for this year is the South African National Botanical Gardens in Pretoria. We will take a stand at this event which is in a different venue this year. Helpers will be needed to set up early on 29th and man the stand during the day.
Entrance charge: Adults: R75 per person; Children, students and pensioners: R30 per person, tickets will be available at the Garden entrance or pre-book on TicketPro on line. The club can refund your entry ticket price if you help for the day.
Event venue: Concert Area at the Pretoria National Botanical Garden. Join SANParks Honorary Rangers, Pretoria Region, in celebrating International Rangers Day.
Food stalls will supply tasty home-made dishes; exhibitors will sell outdoor, camping, 4X4 and wildlife gear; stalls selling handy homemade articles will be available and a craft beer garden will tender for the need of the thirsty.
The programme will include:
- Fun run through the Botanical Garden,
- Performances by up-and-coming artists,
- Live coverage of the event by Bosveld Stereo,
- Tracker dog displays, · Kiddies corner,
- Fun activities such as tug-of-war competitions

And remember that Norman Larsen is at the Cape Union Mart Adventure Centre, Canal walk in Cape Town every Saturday 11h00–12h00 to demonstrate and talk about SPIDERS!
