Ruimsig Butterfly Reserve

5 March 2017 @ 8:45 am - 12:00 pm

R50

Meet at main gate corner Stallion and Equestrian Roads, Ruimsig. -28.080223, 27.854010 or 280 4’48.802” S 270 51’14.436 E. There are no toilet or other facilities, no paths, no picnic spots but the reserve is as near as possible pristine Gauteng Granite Grassland and full of all sorts of delightful invertebrates, including spiders. The grass seeds are ripe so I suggest you either don’t wear socks or if you do wear socks cover them with gaiters or be prepared to chuck them out afterwards. No entrance fee. Keep your eyes on your e-mail and our Facebook page as other events may be organised, sometimes at short notice. We will attempt to give you fair warning. And remember that Norman Larsen is at the Cape Union Mart Adventure Centre, Canal walk in Cape Town every Saturday between 11 a.m. and 12 noon to demonstrate and talk about SPIDERS!
